All that counts are the smiles

As I made my way through the crowds (like a mouse caught in a maze) at AutMus, I couldn’t help but notice that most people were wearing the same thing; a big fat smile on their faces. Believe it or not, I myself couldn’t prevent but crack one every now and then (damn them contagious smiles).

People were out there having a great time and it was so obvious. The kids kept on wanting more and more rides on that mammoth of a slide (yes, I took a walk up those stairs and joined in the fun with my friend Amanda).

When they were done with the giant, they moved on to the funny sausage shaped caterpillar thingy that was next to it and then on to what appeared to be a mini-obstacle course. I called it quits after the big slide because I was sure there were height restrictions at the others.

I made my way to buy a cup of corn and a nice lemonade, while Amanda ravaged some meat filled tacos (Amanda made an exit after the food).

After filling my stomach with the yummy food I made my rounds from stage to stage observing and asking questions trying to see how everyone was spending their time at the event. Most were extremely pleased with the event and everything it had to offer.

The bands started playing their music and many rushed from stage to stage anxiously anticipating the next gig.

The crowds loved the music and had nothing but good things to say. I think the only bad comment I heard was about paying $2 for water, but that was it.

Thirsty or not, the girls went wild when Costumbre played and lined up for autographs.

At night’s end I kept on hearing, “One more song!” The people had a lot of fun and I did too.

Thumbs up TAMIU Alumni Association! You sure know how to throw a big event that brings out the pearly whites from everyone!
