Where are you from? I am from Roma, TX.

Why did you decide to come to TAMIU?Meeting new people and being in a different environment is basically what motivated me to come to TAMIU. That and my recruiter played a major role in my decision. He pushed me into pursuing an education here. I can not thank him enough for everything he did.

What is your major? What are your career/education goals?I am majoring in Early Childhood Bilingual Education and hope to one day become an educator that makes a difference in someone’s life.

Does being part of a minority group inspire you to work harder? Yes, definitely. It pushes me to work harder in order to show people that we can make a difference.

What is the one thing you think is imprtant about your Hispanic heritage? From our culture to our morals I find everything in Hispanic heritage important. Everyone should be proud of their own heritage because that is what builds our identity.

Do you have any suggestions for improving the campus?TAMIU is rapidly growing. I have attended this university for 3 years and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
