KGNS Production Internship

 I am a student at TAMIU is in process of earning my bachelor’s degree in communication. I recently underwent an internship at KGNS, a local television station, as a production assistant. I began my internship there on January 25, 2010 and ended in April 9, 2010. While I was there, I learned how to run cameras during the newscasts, time shows (and airing them), air commercial spots, and learned a bit about making graphics. This, overall, was a rewarding experience has helped me understand more about how television really works, gain skills that I’m sure will help me in the future, and meet really great people along the way. Above all else, I was fortunate to receive employment after my internship.
