Apple has heard the cries of its customers as it has released images from the new iPhone operating system labeled 4.0.
This comes a year after the revolutionary release of 3.0 that included the now infamous app store home to over 500, 000 applications. IPhone 4.0 has introduced many features that have been in desperate need since the iPhone was introduced in 2007.
This has many suspecting that apple has implemented many new features in the operating system to compete with the ever evolving Android mobile operating system and the up and coming WebOS operating system designed by HP/Palm. The iPhone has put on its gloves for the global mobile market showdown.
The 4.0 version of the software takes a cue from the iPad, with user-defined wallpapers, iBooks and a unified inbox for those of us with a myriad of email addresses and the ability to connect Bluetooth keyboards to your IPhone for writing those ever so important blogs or novel inspired emails.
The most important feature that was introduced was multi-tasking. Multi-tasking will allow users of the popular application, Skype, the ability to have a voice over conversation while they search the net or browse their latest Facebook updates without any interruption. This feature will of course only be available on the latest IPhone 3GS model due to battery and hardware limitations.
The update lets users tap to focus when recording video and a 5X digital zoom for taking those necessary Facebook display pictures. I, myself, have nine pages of applications and iPhone 4.0 is giving us folders to be able to organize, label and move applications.
The most important feature that the operating system will provide to millions of iPhone users is the ability to keep advertisements in an application at a minimum, without having to charge for the application in question. They are adding video and interactivity to the advertisements to keep them from losing audiences while offering discounts for the paid versions while they interact with the advertisements.
The features of iPhone O.S.4.0 give the much needed cementation of the IPhone as the champion of the mobile Smartphone market in America and, soon, the world.
The update is set to be released in June 2010, along with the announcement of the yet to be titled iPhone (4th Generation). Be sure to power up those iPhone’s late June for a refresh to your always reliant iPhone.
