At Texas A&M International there are many students who are about to graduate. Some of these students have jobs, others are thinking of searching for jobs after graduation. The Office of Career Services will be offering a workshop on October 13, 2010. From 12 p.m.- 1 p.m on reume writing for students to prepare their resumes after graduation. The workshop will be held at the Student Center, room 114.
The purpose of this workshop is to explain the purpose and types of resumes. This workshop is a resource for a student who does not have a resume or who needs a refresher. The workshop will cover the following:
• Discuss the purpose for a resume, types of resumes and when to use a particular resume
• Explain the layout of a resume and paper weight
• Provide examples of “action words” used to highlight accomplishments
• Examine the parts and functions of a resume.
