The number of fatalities due to the cartel conflicts has reached over 31,000. Ciudad Juarez has its own numerical statistic that has reached theatres all over the country. This statistic refers to director Charlie Linn’s documentary “Eight Murders a Day” that stars this coming Friday April 29 at the Hollywood Theatres in Laredo according to our local Pro 8 news Channel.
According to Minn during a CBS interview, the number of deaths in Juarez alone during 2010 was that of eight- number from which the title of this new feature derives from. This 2011 he said, “has been decent for Juarez since the number has dropped to six murders a day.”
Minn says the 3100 deaths in Juarez for this 2011 resemble the greatest human rights catastrophe. This documentary is intended to spread the news about what is really going on in the border city between the rival cartels pertaining to Juarez and Sinaloa.
El Paso’s local Tv channel 9 provided information about other productions by Linn including Other works by Charlie Minn are: CrusesDivided(2010), A Nightmare in Las Cruces(2010), False Start(2001), 5:55(1999), and The Stall (1999).
