Students from TAMIU had the opportunity to travel to China as part of a faculty-led program that lasted three weeks throughout the Winter break. Their journey with the “China Winter Program” began on December 18, 2012. These students were not only able to experience traveling to a new country, but they learned about business as well.
Dr. Heibo Wang, a TAMIU professor, chaperoned the students who participated on this trip. As chaperone, he is responsible for preparing the trip itinerary, which not only included educational activities, but some sightseeing as well. The itinerary allowed students to have some free time to explore and experience China.
The Study Abroad and Exchange program is available to any TAMIU student who is interested in experiencing a new culture and learning more about their study of interest. Triana Gonzalez, the Assistant Director of the Study Abroad and Exchange Program encourages students to fill out an application and be part of an experience of a lifetime by going on a study abroad program like “The China Winter Program.”
