As the weather begins to change due to the mild fall temperatures, Macy’s at Mall Del Norte hosted a “Fashion’s Night Out” event Thursday, Sept. 6. The event featured fashions for fall, photographic sessions, makeup samples and a runway walk at the mall between Joe Brand and Forever 21 department stores. The event did not only promote fashion and style, but also local stores and the Pink To Do Cancer Awareness Association.
Macy’s Fashion’s Night Out is a fashion event that Macy’s celebrates nationally across selected Macy’s stores. The community of Laredo was invited to attend the event, where shoppers experienced an evening full of fashion, glamour, charity and prizes.
Attendees and fashion lovers got to experience fall clothing from department stores like Charlotte Russe, Dillard’s, Garage, rue21, TDK, and The Children’s Place. Other stores offered their services by either giving free samples of their products or providing educational sessions, like in the case of Deutsch & Deutsch, who offered a session on fine jewelry and watches. Border Beauty Supply talked to shoppers about their “must have” items and all the hot deals they have, including flattening and curling irons. Stores like Regis and My Studio Portraits, aside from giving out free products to the public, offered attendees gift certificates. In appreciation for supporting the event, attendees got the chance to win gift cards and other door prizes that were announced and given throughout the course of the event. Food samples were also provided to the public, like samples from the new peanut butter cup and red velvet brownies from Great American Cookie Company.
To complement the evening’s fashion theme, the public got to meet and greet special guests, Ms. Belleza Latina International and Little Miss Galaxy. In addition, local newscast members from KGNS and Telemundo were also present and greeted the public. Aside from experiencing an evening full of fashion, attendees were invited to support the local charitable cause Pink To Do Cancer Awareness Association, learning what the organization was about and signing up for an upcoming cancer awareness walk.
Shoppers at Mall Del Norte experienced an evening full of surprises, free give-away products, promotions, food, and got to meet local celebrities. For more information regarding future related events, the public can visit Mall Del Norte webpage at www.malldelnorte.com
