The old couple stand side by side,In utter bliss,Admiring the night,Nothing is missed.
The moon is absent,The stars are bright,Their reflection’s on the water,They hold each other tight.
The sky is velvet,Like a purple mink,They can feel the wind on their faces,It makes them think.
It’s dark, still the cottages you see,Just past the water,The lights gleam, butThe two need not bother.
They notice a sailboat,Floating on the sea,No one is in it,He urges they should flee.
She looks at him,With despair in her eye,It’s all too risky,She begins to cry.
He takes her hand,And tells her it’s okay,”Another Time,” he says,Perhaps a brighter day.
They look once more,Into the night,It’s shear perfection, butThey soon lose sight.
