Dear Faculty and Students of Dr. Annette Olsen-Fazi,
My heartfelt thanks go out to all of Annette’s friends, colleagues and students at TAMIU for the outpouring of love and recognition for her contribution to her beloved TAMIU. She had found the perfect fit for her background and education and enjoyed using all her energy on any academic challenge that might come her way. She had a wonderful sense of humor and treasured her students and colleagues. It has been wonderful to see that love returned in all the cards and flowers.
Special thanks to Dr. Wanda Creaser and her husband and those students and faculty who made the long trip to Canyon Lake to say a final farewell to their special teacher, friend and colleague. The memory book with the signatures of the attending students, Dr. Mitchell, as well as many others is a treasured keepsake for her family.
Thank you for the plaque in the language lab, honoring her enthusiasm for teaching both English and French, and many thanks for the special program presented by the French students and guided by President of TAMIU Dr. Keck and Dr. Chadwell and colleagues. It was a joy for Dr. Olsen’s family to attend.
Thank you also for the established scholarships in her memory, and for the marble stone to be laid down in the Walk Of Honor sometime in the spring. We will not miss that special occasion for anything.
Thanks to the Editor for making room for this heartfelt thank you to TAMIU, The Bridge included.
