Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review, reconcile, and process requests for reimbursement of funds by utilizing documentation submitted
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, programmatic, and jurisdictional policy and procedure requirements
• Make recommendations of costs eligibility
• Communicate and interact with jurisdictional officials daily
• Communicate progress of projects, problems, and resolutions
• Provide administrative and clerical support of project-related activities

Required Experience:

• Bachelor s Degree; focus in Emergency Management, Accounting, Business, Construction Management or related field is a plus
• 0-3 years working with disaster related grants or related disaster response and recovery activities
• Understanding of Federal and State disaster recovery requirements
• Ability to interpret and apply federal regulations and policy to specific circumstances
• A team player with a positive attitude & strong client focus
• Superior client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Must be organized and be able to handle multiple tasks
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with extended hours
• Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally
• Strong critical thinking abilities
• FEMA Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Experience preferred
