Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review, reconcile, and process requests for reimbursement of funds by utilizing documentation submitted
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, programmatic, and jurisdictional policy and procedure requirements
- Make recommendations of costs eligibility
- Communicate and interact with jurisdictional officials daily
- Communicate progress of projects, problems, and resolutions
- Provide administrative and clerical support of project-related activities
Required Experience:
- Bachelor s Degree; focus in Emergency Management, Accounting, Business, Construction Management or related field is a plus
- 0-3 years working with disaster related grants or related disaster response and recovery activities
- Understanding of Federal and State disaster recovery requirements
- Ability to interpret and apply federal regulations and policy to specific circumstances
- A team player with a positive attitude & strong client focus
- Superior client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Must be organized and be able to handle multiple tasks
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with extended hours
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally
- Strong critical thinking abilities
- FEMA Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Experience preferred
