Graduation already?
College graduation marks the start of one's future and is a milestone that many hope to reach. December graduation for Texas A&M International students and alumni was hosted at the Kinesiology-Convocation Building on December 14, 2013. The following was the schedule for the ceremonies:
-
College of Arts & Sciences: 9am
-
Sanchez School of Business: 1pm
-
College of Education/College of Nursing & Health Sciences: 4pm
Osvaldo Cavazos was a senior at TAMIU who graduated this past December 2013. Cavazos obtained his Bachelor of Arts & Sciences and majored in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. Upon his graduation, Cavazos aspires to become a teacher and coach at any district in Laredo. He started his higher education at Laredo Community College in 2008 right after obtaining his high school diploma from Martin High School. After completing his first two years at LCC where he received his Associates Degree he transferred to TAMIU to obtain his Bachelor's Degree.
When asked what he enjoyed about TAMIU during his last two years Cavazos stated, "I like the instructors they taught well, they were organized, they helped me accomplish certain goals, and reach certain things I couldn't have done without their knowledge." Cavazos returned to school after graduating to pursue his Master's and Doctorate Degrees. The Bridge asked Cavazos if he would recommend TAMIU to high school students graduating in May 2014, Cavazos affirmed with determination, "Definitely, it's a fun experience and you learn a lot!"
