
FireFest 2012
The 5th annual Laredo FireFest was held Saturday, Oct. 13, on the grounds of the Laredo Energy Arena (LEA). Hosted by the Laredo Firefighters Association and presented by La Ley 100.5 radio station, this year's show included performances by artists such as Incansable, Grupo Massore, Los GarcÃa Brothers, Jimmy Gonzalez y Grupo Mazz and Pesado.
The FireFest opened its doors at 3:00 P.M., but some attendees arriving in bunches sometime after 8 p.m. The Bridge was on site at the FireFest taking in the electric atmosphere the artists and fans were creating. Food, drinks, friends and live music were a good combination for a great time. The FireFest was an event for the whole family to enjoy. Children under the age of 12 had free admission. Children could go play in the section designated for them which had inflatable play areas and small carnival-style rides.
The Bridge arrived at the FireFest in time to watch performances by Jimmy Gonzalez y Grupo Mazz, Los Tigrillos and Pesado. The artists performed some of their top hits such as, "Quien Iba a Pensar", "Mira Oye" and "Ojalá Que Te Mueras," respectively. The music had the majority of the crowd dancing all night into early Sunday morning. The Laredo Firefighters Association host this event every year to give back to the community for all their support. The FireFest was a success as thousands of fans were able to enjoy their night with good entertainment, food and drinks.
