Study Abroad Fair
Explore the World Beyond the Border!
On Thursday September 23, 2010, at Texas A&M International University, the Office of International Education and the Division of International Programs, offered the Study Abroad Fair that took place at the Student Center. The event started at 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There was information available for all students interested on studying abroad. Many of the students present in this event thought that was great the opportunity to expand their education beyond the border.
The Student Center Rotunda was decorated with flags from all around the world, to give students that international felling. There was information about studying in China, Austria, Spain, France, and many other countries in South America. From tuition, housing, transportation, and degree programs, the study abroad fair had answers to all these questions. There were many students from different majors that took time to attend the fair.
The program with the most success among students is the trip to Granada, Spain. Students that had just come back from this trip were there to share their experiences with other students. One of these students is Rodolfo Martinez. He stated, "The trip was a great experience that I will never forget. I was able to visit another country and other people that I otherwise would not have the opportunity to visit. I took two classes at the University of Granada, and if I had the opportunity to do this again I will do, no questions asked."
He was explaining to all the students the process to get in two this program. Finally, Martinez stated, "This program met all of my expectations and I will invite any student who is interested in experiencing a different culture first hand, to look into the possibility of studying abroad."
