Una diversión muy mexicana
El club estudiantil Campus Activities Board (CAB) de Texas A&M International University, organizó una loterÃa en conmemoración al mes de las fiestas patrias mexicanas. El evento se llevó a cabo el pasado 27 de septiembre, en el Student Center Ballroom.
Las filas de estudiantes que asistieron al evento se empezaron a formar desde casi una hora antes de que el evento empezará, ya que todos ansiosos tenÃan en mente llevarse uno de los grandes premios. Los premios de la loterÃa fueron televisores, ipod touch, boletos para el AutMus Fest, entre otros. La loterÃa se demoró un poco en empezar a causa del gran flujo de asistencia que el evento tuvo.
En esta loterÃa, los estudiantes no solo se divirtieron, sino también tuvieron la oportunidad de aprender un poco sobre la historia de la tradicional loterÃa mexicana. La profesora visitante de gobierno MarÃa Reyes explicó a los estudiantes las diferentes maneras de como en méxico se juega la loterÃa y el porque el juego es tan famoso. Reyes reiteró que la razón más recurrente que tiene la gente para jugar es porque todos quieren ganar algo. La profesora también añadió que la loterÃa no es algo particular de México, ya que el juego es originario de España, y dado a su popularidad, ya se practicaba en todo el mundo.
Estudiantes de diferentes nacionalidades y locales entusiasmados jugaron la loterÃa por más de dos horas. Los nervios y risas se hicieron presentes ya que la mayor parte de los juegos estuvieron reñidos.
