Will These Be On The Exams?

Today was no different from other days of my nearly fifty years of teaching

Classes were no different from other semesters

            My first class started at noon

            And it was my teaching time

            The next class was at afternoon with the full moon

I slowly walk to the Western Hemispheric Trade Center Building

It has a typical crowd because of the budget cut

A class of the usual mixed students with tilting

Some were silent, couple boys and girls were busy gazing on each other

And the rest acknowledged my arrival.

When I started my lecture, still those couple students were talking

Several other students became attentive to my philosophy, biosophy, technososophy, and ecosophy

They tried to catch my intellectual drifting.

As I passed from ontological to tautological and axiological reasoning then,

            all students except a couple boyfriend and girlfriend voiced and demanded to be heard

Brought the whole class to attention with a booming intonation

They asked their question: Will this stuff be on the exams?

How could I respond? I thought to myself

Should I be encephalized, and drift myself to the shore of professional passion?

Or should I get mad?

Should I be indignant, or should I get sad?

To my own conscience surprise

            To my own syllogistic reasoning, I responded to my own answer

Should them be included on the exams, or completely leave them out of the context

It is totally up to me to include them on exams

We are all here to enhance our mind in essence

Since you have graced me with your presence

The exams should be about what is related to the reality of life

I have examined your knowledge what you already have learned

On the other hand, I should examine you what you have not heard

No matter how critically have you utilized your mind with knowledge?

It is only related to your real life.

No matter that they may be very useful or not

The knowledge that I am bestowing you is related to your very existence

The exams as you know should be about trivial

Now you told me that o' the one that has sense of survival

Should they remain in your mind or to go?

Should all contents be on your exams?
