30 Seconds to Mars Rocks Texas A&M University-Kingsville
On September 29 at 8 p.m. hosted MTVU Campus Invasion's Music Festival at Texas A&M University in Kingsville campus, which featured the Neon Trees, New Politics, and 30 Seconds to Mars. Although mosquitoes were biting and the weather was humid, much of the campus community was there for the event.
However, the concert was delayed and did not start until almost 8:45 p.m. Furthermore, Neon Trees did not show for reasons unknown. When New Politics took the stage, however, the crowd went crazy. They music was energetic and got the crowd moving and screaming. New Politics is a political punk band with an attitude and a way of getting you to jump up and down that you will never forget. They're hit song "Yeah Yeah Yeah," quotes "Do you even know what's going on? I don't mean to sound miserable. It's written all along and I hear."
After New Politics warmed up the stage, 30 Seconds to Mars performed. Among the songs played during the concert, a crowd favorite was sung by the audience entitled, "Kings And Queens".. The band also played "The Kill" and "This is War", two other hit songs.
