The Joys of Graduation
Congratulations go to the graduating class of 2011. Graduation is upon us and you can see it in everyone's faces. Faces full of panic, joy, fear, and many more valid emotions. An exciting and fun time is upon those who are graduating. We can only hope that those, who graduate, are filled with many opportunities. However, sometimes opportunities do not always come knocking. Sometimes plans do not always come into fruition like most do. Yet, you must not focus on the uncertain, graduate. You must focus on keeping your hopes up and look for opportunities. The exams and late nights of studying are over. Papers, assignments, and group projects are now a thing of the past. I'm sure the professors and staff here at Texas A&M International University are proud to have had you as students in their classes. Hopefully, the knowledge you attained here stays with you and carries you through your impending careers. Congratulations on your special day and may all the doors you want open, be opened to you. Many joys and experiences come from obtaining your college degree.
A joy of graduating would be the start of a new chapter in your life. The major you have been working on for four years is finally completed and you are now qualified to work in the career specific to your studies. 401K's and financial security are in your future and that is incredible motivation to obtain your degree. Your degree opens up the doors to careers you are striving to be a part of. Careers that will, hopefully, be a part of your life forever. The joy here is that your degree creates vast opportunities for you in field, with which you have been studying for four years.
Another joy of graduation would be the freedom you obtain after you receive your degree. Whether you choose to pursue graduate school or go straight into a career is up to you, but that is your decision to make. There is so much liberty that comes, when you graduate, that it can all seem a little overwhelming. However, this freedom is just so amazing. You can do what you will after you graduate. You can take your time to jump back into reality, but you have worked hard for so long that a little time off will do you some good too. All this is because you have graduated. Some top things graduates do after they graduate are travel. According to gradspotblog.com, a popular blog site, traveling is one of the top things to do after graduating. Another would be to take the time to catch up on some reading. No more text books for you, but maybe a nice book, filled with plot twists or maybe even a nice romance novel will grab your attention. Whatever you wish to do is entirely up to you. Freedom now belongs to you after working for so long and so hard.
Another joy of graduation would be the gifts and praise you attain after graduating. Let's face you all the work have done is now over and you deserve to be praised for it. Family and friends from far away are here to celebrate you and all that you have accomplished. "Congratulations" is the word you will hear and will probably never get tired of hearing. Presents are a huge plus on the graduation chart. Sometimes the decision to walk is based on motivation for the presents. Parties are also a major deal too. Whether it be for you or fellow graduates are also motivation to graduate.
Whether you choose to graduate or not is up to you. However, there are so many joys that come after graduating. The joy is for you and for your parents. So many thanks go out to the parents of graduates. They were there when you were stressing over a test, paper, or project. They were to support all your decisions and stand by you, when you feel like no one else is standing by you. Thank you parents; this is as much your day as it is your graduates. Congratulations to the class of 2011. May opportunity and fortune be with you after your graduation. Good Luck!
