Some Shoegaze
This week's mixtape...
Hello again. With our first exams coming up next week I decided to slow it down this week with the "Some Shoegaze" mixtape. The idea is to have some chill music in the background while you study and what not. Noise Rock, noise pop or just plain noise, call what you will but once upon a time ago it was called Shoegazer. This week's mixtape is derived from straight up shoegazer or shoegazer influenced bands spanning over two decades from this small genre. These bands will either have the signature droning, overly distorted guitar, drowned out distorted vocals but still a larger, full wall of sound. Although, Ulrich Schnauss is an electronic artist, his contribution to music definitely has its shoegazing moments as demonstrated in "Medusa".
