Lamar Bruni Vergara & Guillermo Benavides Z. Academic Conference at TAMIU
For the 5th consecutive year, Texas A&M International University presents the Lamar Bruni Vergara & Guillermo Z. 5th Annual Academic Conference. This event offers students the opportunity to exhibit their academic research and to share their hard work with the broader academic community. The conference will take place on March 21 and 22, in the TAMIU Student Center. All TAMIU students, faculty, staff, and the general public are welcome to attend and TAMIU students are invited to participate as well.
Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at TAMIU, Jeffrey M. Brown, said that this year they are expecting more than 200 participants. The work is generally judged by TAMIU faculty, and on occasions by a doctoral student too. Ipods will be raffled for the first 75 people that register and cash prizes will be awarded to the top performers in the various categories judged.
This function is sponsored by the Lamar Bruni Vergara Trust and Mr. Guillermo Benavides Z. and its purpose is to support and promote graduate education.
If you are a student at TAMIU, and you wish to participate, you can register online at http://www.tamiu.edu/gradschool/lbvconference on or before Feb. 21. For more information on this event, visit www.facebook.com/lbvconference or email lbvconference@tamiu.edu.
