On March 15, 2011 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, I got to experience a performance by the one and only Lady Gaga. This was a life changing concert and not only did she sing her songs, but she took the entire audience on a theatrical journey.  Her concert was one the most amazing concerts I have ever been too. She had incredible performers open for her concert. The opening acts were Lady Starlight, Lady Gaga's best friend and DJ, and the Scissor Sisters, a pop-rock band. Both of their performances got the crowd energetic and fired up for Mother Monster. Lady Gaga's Monster's Ball Tour 2011 is definitely a concert worth going to.

Lady Starlight was the first to perform. Lady Starlight is a performance artist and is considered Lady Gaga's best friend. Lady Starlight is one of the people who helped design Lady Gaga's fashion for her shows.  She entered the stage in a robe and boxing gloves and started her performance by playing "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor, and during her performance she played Vinyl Records of various rock and metal songs from throughout the decades. As she's playing these vinyl records, she is dancing to them on stage and getting the audience riled up for the rest of the concert.

The Scissor Sisters are an American Alternative Band from New York, New York. They are mostly known in the homosexual community due to their infectious beats and colorful lyrics.

Some of the songs played were "Take your Momma", "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" and so many more. This was so much fun because until that day I had no idea they were performing. I was so excited to see them. I had followed them since I was a senior in high school; so actually seeing them live was just amazing. During one of their songs the back-up dancers noticed my friend and I copying their dance moves and pointed us out and just smiled and danced with us. We were shocked and proceeded to dance even more. Later, I was singing along with one of their songs and noticed that the singer, Jake Shears, was no longer looking at the crowd, but looking straight at me! I was completely stunned and motivated to sing louder.

When it was time for Lady Gaga to come out, everyone was chanting her name. "GA-GA GA-GA GA-GA GA-GA" It was so infectious and loud that you could feel the arena shaking. Then it was time, and a projection came on screen of Lady Gaga jumping in slow motion. Then there it was the first sounds of "Dance in the Dark" and the crowd went wild! My heart was practically jumping out of my chest. I was so excited. The stage kept changing throughout the entire show, just as Gaga would change her outfits. It began with a broken down, smoking car and later came Lady Gaga walking down a flight of stairs in a truly amazing outfit and then changing into a Leopard body suit. She goes up to the broken down car and opens the hood to reveal a piano. She begins to play "Just Dance" and the crowd still in awe is released from her hypnotic spell and begins to go crazy. Her entire show was basically her trying to get to the Monster's Ball. You are taken on a wild journey filled with music, pyrotechnics, theatrics, and so much love. She loves to stop and talk to the audience and thank them for all of their support. She accepts everything given to her on stage, except for Barbies... One person threw a Barbie doll on stage and Lady Gaga took and said "I don't like Barbies." and proceeded to bite the head off and spit it into the crowd. The crowd cheered and hollered in enthusiasm. During her performance of "Paparazzi" I had on my Mouse Sunglasses, much like the ones she is wearing in that video, and with my hand over my mouth I wanted to blow her a kiss. I was much too slow because she looked right at me and blew a kiss at me. I thought I was going to die right there! During her show, she runs into the "Fame Monster" and has to kill it in order to get to the Monster's Ball. Her final song was of course "Bad Romance" and she thanked everyone for helping her get to the Monster's Ball. She came out for an encore performance and sang her new single "Born This Way" and the crowd was still screaming and cheering and singing the entire time.

It just goes to show, how much influence one person can have on an entire nation.  The artistry in her entire concert was just awe-inspiring. So many things detailed and made every scene like a theater performance. It truly was an amazing show. There is not much more I can add to that except that everyone should definitely make it a point to see Lady Gaga in concert. She has two more shows in Texas coming up. One is April 6, 2011 in Austin, Texas and the other is in Houston, Texas April 8, 2011
